Carrie Bradshaw once said: “I like my money right where I can see it: hanging in my closet.” I couldn’t agree more with this quote. Today, I’m revealing where I’ve been spending a good portion of my money lately by sharing my current favourite brands with you.
I’m obsessed with this French brand. My romantic heart and bohemian spirit are fulfilled here. The self-taught designer Morgane Sézalory (hence the name Sézane) understands everything about fashion and the famous French style. She created an ideal feminine wardrobe adapted to women’s wants and needs: a light boyfriend style shirt, a pair of well cut straight jeans, a fancy little dress… And the cherry on top is that Sézane also started a charity initiative for children’s education.
Psst. More than two-thirds of Sézane’s collections are manufactured in factories in Europe, which also produce items for other prestigious brands such as Chloé, Lanvin, and Vetements.
Since 2008, The Kooples has designed truly contemporary clothes. Season after season, the ready-to-wear brand pulls its inspiration from a timeless rock ‘n roll style, while remaining true to its standards of high quality. Thanks to its delicate lines, the brand’s clothing for women elegantly caresses the female silhouette.
S.O.S.! I have to control myself when I browse this site. Not kidding, I would love to buy their entire collection. Belmto designs simple, classic, and contemporary essentials for women at really reasonable prices. I have a soft spot for their earrings, their handbags, their sunglasses… well, for everything really!
Ban.do is a Los Angeles-based brand that designs clothing, accessories, gifts, stationery, and more! Their stuff is targeted at girls who love colour and are looking for items to help them stand out. I’m especially a fan of their slogan and graphic tees. Looking for the perfect gift for your bestie? Check out this site.
Reformation’s former fashion director launched STAUD two years ago with his partner George Augusto, and he quickly caught the attention of trendsetters like Alexa Chung and Leandra Medine. I especially love STAUD’s handbags. Honey, have you been meaning to get me a present? This is the perfect place to look.
It just so happens that my heart loves brands based outside of Quebec, but I’ll be sure to introduce you to my local darlings over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!
